Tesla’s Express Delivery

Tesla is adhering to new mandates like social distancing, by offering customers an express delivery option. Customers need to schedule an appointment to get started. From there, the process Tesla has taken is gaining attention as innovative and revolutionary. Using Tesla’s app location tracking, customers can find and go directly to their new car to inspect it and ensure it is what the requested. All of the documents are included already inside the vehicle, making the process as easy as possible to customers. Telsa is also offering a video tutorial on the car’s main touch screen so they can feel confident driving their new purchase. Once the process is complete, an associate of the company picks up the papers and another adds the temporary license plate. It’s that simple!

Drop-Off from Tesla

What is music to everyone’s ears during the time of the coronavirus? Touchless. That’s correct, Tesla offers a totally touchless delivery option. How does it work? Before the car is delivered, customers complete all required paperwork digitally. Then, they download the Tesla app and chose a drop-off location in which they will receive their new car. Telsa then brings the customer’s new car to the predetermined location. Here’s the best part- you can open the car using the app! The rest of the paperwork can be sent back to the appropriate people within a day, but don’t worry, a prepaid envelope will be provided to ensure ultimate ease. Currently touchless delivery is available only in twelve states, so finger’s crossed it is available in yours!

Delivery is not the only thing on the mind of a new or current Tesla owner. Yes, Tesla also considered the needs of anyone needing to perform repairs and checks on their vehicles. Tesla has employed a fleet of what they have dubbed as “Rangers” who are technicians that travel to the car’s location with any and all necessary equipment. In order to minimize contact and to respect social distancing rules, owners of Tesla cars are asked to make maintenance requests via the app. Once the request is received, the owner puts the car in a safe location, like a driveway, and the Ranger arrives to the car and gets to work.

Once the experienced technician has made any necessary repairs to the vehicle they can call or text the car owner to let them know about the progress and any other important details. All payments are handled through the app or via telephone, ensuring social distancing remains firmly in place. Once the Ranger is ready to leave he carefully wipes down the car and anything he has touched, and sends the customer a message that the work is complete.

These impressive and creative solutions from Tesla are surely an inspiration for other industries currently struggling to survive in this economy while making sure customers and employees alike stay safe and healthy.
